Symptom-first answers for the failures you are most likely to hit while integrating.
Most surprises on this API come from three places: a 202 is not a delivery
confirmation, a stream reconnected without Last-Event-ID starts at the live
edge, and idempotency does not apply to every command. Find your symptom below.
Still stuck
Two things are worth checking before you go deeper. Confirm the command
actually settled — an unsettled commandId and a failed one call for very
different responses. And confirm your line supports the operation at all:
GET /v1/whoami lists what each line carries in
lines[].capabilities, and an operation that works on one line and fails with
capability_not_negotiated on another is a difference between lines, not a
bug in your code. See Capabilities.
If neither explains it, send it in with the commandId, the
Idempotency-Key and the full settlement event — those three are what the team
would otherwise have to ask you for.
